Theater for the New City
Chromoluminarism - Thur, Fri, Sat 8PM; Sun 3PM
Oct 20, 2017 through Oct 22, 2017 Limited Engagement
A multi-media, circus theatre experience.
Chromoluminarism is a multi-media, circus theatre piece about Georges Seurat's last painting, "The Circus." Featuring the acrobats of Constellation Moving Company, this artist collective explores Seurat's personal life, pointillism, and his relationship with the circus world. Aerialists merge with live and recorded text, soundscapes, projections and music to create a kinetic atmosphere between color, movement, sound, and light. Delving into Seurat’s color theories, Chromoluminarism explores the elusive quest of the artist.
A RGBNYC, WanderWord, and Constellation Moving Company production
